About this project
SKUWITY is an app that helps e-commerce store owners monitor their product details in marketplace websites such as Amazon and Walmart. It is a store shelf monitoring application that reports changes in pricing and item descriptions in e-commerce marketplaces.
My team member and I were involved in developing the application from the planning phase through deployment.

Requirements
Monitoring pricing, availability, and other product information on marketplace websites such as Walmart and Amazon is time-consuming and labour-intensive. The client needed an application that would automate the process. Ideally, the system would automatically visit the marketplace, read and record product data, aggregate it, and produce a report for e-commerce managers.
The challenge was processing and organizing a large amount of data without overwhelming the virtual machine or server.

What We Developed
We created a proprietary system that processes the store-shelf items to be monitored efficiently. The bespoke system spreads out the monitoring workload and reports the results in an easy-to-read format.
An appropriate virtual machine was selected and configured for the monitoring workload, and the newly created system was installed. As a result, store-shelf monitoring could be completed in a fraction of the time.
